The 2016 Ottawa Improv Festival features improvisational comedy and theatre — totally made up on the spot — from some of the top performers from Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. The festival runs three nights (April 14 to 16) at Arts Court, in the studio.
The Great Ottawa Improv Mashup, featuring some of the city’s veteran performers collaborating on brand new shows. Doors at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. and runs until a little after 10 p.m.
Top improv comedians from Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa do what they do best, with a range of performances from fast-and-furious sketches to one-act plays to fantasy epics. Doors at 6:30 p.m., shows start at 7 p.m. and run all night (one ticket gets you in for all of the night’s programming). Plus special late-night programming: improvised standup and lip-sync battles.
